Possible name for our product

I have decided to post the possible names for our film on the social networking site Facebook so that we can see which name our target audience prefer.



Our pie chart shows that the most favoured was Cupids Choke Hold scoring 13 out of 26 people asked.

Possible name for our film

Our group has been looking into possible names for our film and wanted a title that captured the meaning of the film and what it represented as a whole. 

We wanted a title that linked with either the characters or the symbolic objects, and have come up with six possible titles 

Bound
Shackles
Silenced
Cupids Choke Hold
Compression
The last balloon


Personally my favourite title is the last balloon as it does not immediately give away what the film is about, however it sums up our entire footage. I like the fact that an audience who will not know what the product is about will not be expecting something so different from the title and will have to be taken on a journey to understand the meaning of The last balloon.

Moreover, another member of my group likes this title also, but likes it for its take on 'the last straw', linking well with the idea of pressure.


We are currently planing to produce a poster of some kind for our product. Recently we have been producing different samples for our final poster on Adobe Photoshop, which is again another high quality piece of software. Personally, i believe that within our poster, it is vital that the balloon features, as it is a prominent symbolic object throughout our product. However, like myself, and others of my group, we believe that the posters should be minimalistic so it is more effective, and makes the audience  focus on the particular objects within the poster, rather than the poster being clustered which would make the audience have to focus on too many things at one time.

I would like the poster to have the child character in it holding the balloon which is our ending shot within the footage. Like our footage, the scene within the poster should be in a controlled environment. I believe it is vital to have a hard-hitting interesting poster that will grab our audiences attention, and make them intrigued, without giving away the topic of the footage.
